Ang Pulang Talim ay tungkol sa struggle o pakikibaka ng mga pesante, magasasaka o manggagawang bukid sa Pilipinas para magkaroon ng tunay na reporma sa lupa. Sila ay kumakaharap sa maraming pagdurusa sa ilalim ng pamamalakad ng kanilang mga panginoong may lupa. Ang kanilang mga asyenda at pyudal na sistema hanggang ngayon ay nagdudulot ng kahirapan at kawalan ng lupa sa mga magsasaka.

Nagmula pa sa panahon ng mga Espanyol ang pakikibaka ng mga magsasaka. Marami sa kanila ay pinapatay para manahimik. Wala man silang armas ang tanging talim lang niya ay tapang at paninindigan.
